Our Story
Beaver Wood Restoration was co-founded by Charles Mailloux and Mohit Sheladiya in London, Ontario in 2008. What started as a small, passionate team of exterior finishing experts grew through word-of-mouth — London homeowners stuck with us for the attention to detail and the depth of expertise in deck and fence restoration.
After building a sterling reputation in the London area, we brought the operation to the Greater Toronto Area to serve a market that needed contractor-grade wood restoration done honestly. Today we serve homeowners across Toronto, Oakville, Mississauga, Markham, Vaughan, Richmond Hill, Brampton, Aurora, and King City.
Wood is a living, breathing material. Our Canadian climate — freezing winters and humid summers — tests exterior wood to its limits. Fifteen years of doing this work has taught us which products survive freeze-thaw cycles, how to time staining windows around lake-effect humidity, and how to read a weathered deck before we quote it.

What We Stand Behind
- 3-year written warranty on workmanship for every stain and refinishing project. If the finish peels, flakes, or fails prematurely due to application or product defect, we return and re-coat at no charge. Cleaning-only services carry a 30-day satisfaction guarantee.
- Expert Stain & Seal — contractor-grade penetrating oil-based stain formulated for GTA freeze-thaw conditions. Penetrates cedar and pressure-treated lumber rather than forming a film on top, so the finish never peels.
- Transparent pricing. $3–$6 per sq ft for deck staining and refinishing. $4–$9 per linear foot for fence staining (both sides). Free on-site quotes only — we don't quote over the phone because honest pricing requires seeing the wood.
- Licensed and WSIB-insured. Full coverage transfers worker-injury liability away from you.
- Log home media blasting certification — one of few Ontario contractors certified for the work. Heritage and rural-estate clients across King Township specifically seek this capability.
