Commercial Ipe Wood Patio Restoration

Welcome to one of our premier commercial architecture projects! This dynamic endeavor involved stripping and re-oiling a massive, heavy-traffic Ipe (Brazilian Walnut) outdoor patio space at a prestigious golf club. Situated in Oakville, this commercial space represents a balancing act between incredible durability and aesthetic luxury.

Project Overview

Ipe is one of the hardest woods on the planet, making it notoriously difficult for stains to penetrate. Our primary objective was to strip away the failing, flaking topical stain that a previous contractor had applied, and replace it with a specialized exotic hardwood conditioning oil designed specifically to penetrate dense tropical woods.

Key Features:

  • Commercial Grade Abrasive Stripping
  • Tropical Hardwood Conditioning
  • Slip-Resistant Surface Prep
  • High-Traffic UV Protective Oil
  • After-Hours Phased Execution

Project Goals and Objectives:

Our commercial restoration approach prioritizes business continuity. We carefully sequenced the project during the club's pre-season closure to ensure zero disruption to members. The new penetrating oil finish provides extreme slip-resistance for the club's waitstaff while deeply enriching the dark, luxurious tones of the Brazilian hardwood.
